An area of low pressure just south of Nova Scotia will push across the Maritime provinces Sunday night into Monday.

The highest amounts of rain over the Maritimes is likely over Southwestern New Brunswick and Cape Breton Island where 40 to 60 mm of rain is possible.

Coastal Nova Scotia could receive as much as 50 millimeters of rain. On Prince Edward Island, western Nova Scotia, and western New Brunswick, about 10 to 20 mm is likely.

From there the low will track across Newfoundland. Heavy rainfall amounts are possible for many areas.

Rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 millimeters is likely for the Great Northern Peninsula and portions of central Newfoundland with 10 to 20 mm elsewhere.
