Snowstorm Cripples Paris

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Sunday, February 11, 2018

Paris, France has been hit a rare snowstorm.

10 cm of snow fell across the city, while that may not seem like a lot by Canadian standards, it was enough to cause several travel disruptions.

There were traffic jam that lasted several hours. Bus service withing the city was shut down. The high-speed train system and commuter trains also experienced a disruption in service.

At Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports there were multiple flight cancellations.

Snow falls every year, but rarely stays on the ground. The city sometimes sees light snow or flurries with or without accumulation.
