Snowfall of the Century Slams Moscow

Moscow is continuing to clear out from a major snowstorm that slammed the area last week.

It is being described as the "Snowfall of the Century".

It was a day off for many people as roads were impassable.

According to the Meteorological Office, 55 cm of snow fell in 36-hour's.

Schools were of course closed and over 150 flights were cancelled.

The military were called in to assist in the clean-up.

Moscow is the northernmost and coldest megacity and metropolis on Earth.
