Some areas may see as much as 30 cm of snow. Across the southern Avalon and St. John's some mixed precipitation is expected. With regards to the west coast of the Island it really depends on the track of the storm. Some models are showing considerable snowfall amounts while some other model runs show only some flurries.

Winds will also be gusty Friday night into Saturday. Snow will start Friday morning and gradually intensify. Precipitation will start much later for the northwest coast and north coast of Newfoundland.
