Snow, Strong Wind, and Freezing Rain Across Ontario Today

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Sunday, February 24, 2019

A major winter storm is ongoing in Northeastern Ontario.

Across Northeastern, Central and Eastern Ontario freezing rain is likely.

For portions of Northern Ontario from Lake Superior to James Bay, snowfall amounts ranging from 20 to 30 centimetres is likely.

Especially for the Great Lakes, winds may gust to 120 km/h.

With the strong winds, there will be widespread blowing snow and power outages are likely.

On Monday there will be strong winds, snow and blowing snow over Northeastern and Southern Ontario. That will begin to ease off.
