An area of low pressure continues to cause problems in Newfoundland and Labrador.

While conditions are beginning to improve across the Maritimes there are still strong winds in the Inverness County - Mabou and north and Victoria County area of Nova Scotia.

Wind warnings remain in effect across Prince Edward Island.

In Newfoundland there are wind warnings and snow squall watches in place for the west coast. Winds may gust to 110 km/h today. Overnight, flurries will begin with 5 cm expected, however should snow squalls develop 10 cm could fall.

In Labrador, further snowfall accumulations of 10 to 15 cm are expected with gusty wind.
