Snow Squalls East of Lake Huron

Posted by on Tuesday, December 6, 2016

The area of low pressure that is bringing significant snowfall to Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario will cause snow squalls to develop over Lake Superior and Lake Huron as cold air blows across the warmer lakes.

Thursday night through Friday areas east of Lake Huron could see the first significant lake effect snow of the season.

Significant snowfall amounts are possible with 5 to 10 cm likely in most areas, locally 15 to 20 is possible.
