Snow Squalls and Extreme Cold Continuing on Southern Ontario

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Wednesday, January 30, 2019

It will be another day of snow squalls and blowing snow east of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.

There is also a risk of snow squalls near eastern Lake Erie and eastern Lake Ontario.

These snow squall conditions may persist well into Thursday.

This is happening as extreme cold is affecting much of Southern Ontario. Wind chills of minus 30 to minus 40 are possible.

Snow squalls will combine with windy conditions to cause near zero visibility at times.

Extreme cold is continuing across Northern and Far Northern Ontario with wind chills of minus 40 to minus 55.
