Snow, Rain, and Strong wind to Impact Newfoundland

An area of low pressure will bring some snow, rain, and strong wind to Newfoundland today.

Snow or rain will begin along the west coast this afternoon. Snow is most liley over higher terrain where some places may get as much as 10 cm.

Snow will change back to rain on Saturday in areas where temperatures rise above freezing. 

Anyone travelling should exercise extreme caution.

Along the West Coast Friday morning strong wind are expected to develop. Gusts up to 100 km/h are possible.

Precipitation is expected to taper off by Saturday evening.

The system has impacted Marine Atlantic also.
