Snow For the Southern Prairies

Posted by on Wednesday, December 28, 2016

An Alberta clipper system is expected to develop on Thursday and will provide some snow to southern Saskatchewan and southern Manitoba.

About 5 to 10 cm can be expected in a swath of southern Saskatchewan and southern Manitoba beginning on Thursday night and Friday.

Strong wind will develop on the backside of the low giving reduced visibility and blowing snow.

As the low develops late Thursday it will create strong wind over southwest Alberta with gusts up to 12- km/h possible.
