Snow for the Prairies on Monday

Cold air combined with an area of low pressure will bring some snow to the Prairies on Monday.

Today, temperatures have taken a dive.

In southwestern Saskatchewan rain will likely change over to snow.

While amounts will generally be low, places like the Cypress Hills, will see strong northerly winds and a prolonged period of snow.

Some areas could see significant snowfall event.  

Total snow accumulations of 30 cm is actually possible in some areas.

There will also be some strong wind gusts to 90 km/h.
