Snow for Southern Manitoba

Posted by on Thursday, December 10, 2015

After some nice weather over the past several days Southern Manitoba is in for a reality heck today as a low pressure system prepares to track across the region bring some snow with it.

About 5 to 10 cm of snow is possible for the Parkland area, the Red River Valley and Whiteshell.

Blowing snow will also be a concern as the low will be accompanied by gusty winds.

Temperatures will return to colder values into the evening and overnight hours, also daytime highs will tumble below freezing starting tomorrow. For Winnipeg the normal high for this time of year is -9°C.

This event will be short lived however as snow will taper off this afternoon.
