Snow for parts of Upper Mississippi Valley & Great Lakes

Posted by on Friday, February 5, 2016

A front currently over the Upper Midwest will move eastward from the Upper Mississippi Valley to the Lower Great Lakes by Friday evening - producing light snow over parts of the Upper Mississippi Valley and Upper Great Lakes on Friday.

As high pressure builds and expands over the south and east, the system will lift northward bringing slightly warmer air to the Great Lakes region this weekend.

Snow accumulations for the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes region through Sunday morning will mostly be in the 5 to 15 cm range. The heaviest snowfall, of 15 to 25 cm, is expected to fall just north of northern Michigan over Lake Superior and southern Ontario.
