An area of low pressure will develop in northern Alberta today and move east toward Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Any impacts over northern Saskatchewan will be minor.

As the low further develops and moves into northern Manitoba on Saturday morning, it could drop 5 to 10 cm of snow in some areas.

Looking into the long range, there appears to be a major system that may impact the Prairie provinces on Sunday and Monday.

We could end up seeing snow across the southern prairies along with gusty wind.

Across the eastern prairies colder temperatures will prevail.
