Snow Arrives in Newfoundland, How Much Can You Expect?

The snow is well underway across Newfoundland this morning.

Across Newfoundland today, generally 5 to 10 cm is expected. The northern Avalon including St. John's could end up with 10  to 15 cm.

Late this afternoon along the south coast, snow will change to ice pellets and rain.

The lows moves offshore by Sunday, however some wraparound snow will impact the west coast and northeast once again offering a few more centimeters.

Strong winds are also occurring in the Channel-Port aux Basques area.

All watches, warnings, and special weather statements across the Maritimes have ended.
