Snow and Wind Moves Into NL This Afternoon

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Wednesday, February 13, 2019

An area of low pressure that has been impacting Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes, will move into Newfoundland beginning this afternoon.

Snow will move onto the southwest coast late this afternoon. From there, snow will spread across the remainder of Island overnight.

Snow will change to ice pellets and then rain on the Avalon. Along the south coast, snow will change to rain.

The heaviest snow is likely in the Green Bay-White Bay area where snowfall amounts of 15 and 20 cm are possible.
