It will be another unsettled day across portions of Newfoundland and Labrador.

On the Avalon Peninsula strong winds are expected to develop this evening. The strong winds will be associated with an intense area of low pressure.

Exposed areas of the Avalon Peninsula could see wind gusts up to 110 km/h.

This will be a short-lived event with winds diminishing overnight.

Meanwhile in Labrador, the snow will taper off from west to east today.

Many areas picked up snowfall amounts over 30 cm.

For the Northeast Coast, for areas such as Hopedale and Nain, snow will continue throughout the day and will taper off this evening. Total snowfall amounts of 20 cm is possible.

In addition strong winds are expected, which will reduce visibility.
