Snow and Rain for NL

A disturbance will push across Newfoundland and Labrador today.

In Labrador snow is expected. In southern Labrador 10 to 15 cm of snow is expected.

For the Great Northern Peninsula, snow will transition to rain by noon. Some areas over higher elevation, especially Gros Morne may see 10 to 15 cm of snow. When the snow changes to rain, rainfall amounts of 5 to 10 mm is likely.

Western Newfoundland will see flurries in the morning that will change to rain as temperatures rise. About 2 to 5 cm of snow is likely. When the snow changes to rain, rainfall amounts of 5 to 10 mm is likely.

All areas of the Island will see rain by the evening. Most areas will see rainfall amounts of 5 to 10 mm, with the exception of central Newfoundland, where 2 to 5 mm is possible.

There will be gusty wind across the province also.
