Snow and Rain for Atlantic Canada by Thursday

Posted by on Tuesday, November 29, 2016

An area of low pressure will pass over the Maritime Provinces on Thursday afternoon.

Current indications are that most of Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Eastern New Brunswick will receive rainfall. For Central and Western New Brunswick, precipitation will likely fall in the form of snow or a rain-snow mix.

From there the low will move over Newfoundland on Thursday night into Friday.

When the low moves into Newfoundland some accumulating snowfall is possible for Central and Western Newfoundland. For the Avalon and Burin Peninsula's we may see a rain-snow mix.

Conditions will improve as the low moves offshore on Saturday.
