Across Southern portions of Northeastern Ontario and all of Southern Ontario, there will be a transition from rain to snow with a chance freezing rain during the changeover.

Temperatures are expected to drop quickly from above zero to below -5 degrees in the morning for the Golden Horseshoe, Central and Southwestern Ontario and during the afternoon for Eastern Ontario.

This quick temperatures change will cause flash freezing.

By Friday night heavy snow is expected for areas near the St. Lawrence River. Snowfall amounts of 15 cm are possible.
