Significant Snow Possible for Newfoundland

Posted by on Sunday, April 17, 2016

A low pressure system that has yet to develop well pass over the Avalon Peninsula on Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Currently it appears as though the Avalon and central may pick up significant amounts of snowfall before changing over to mixed precipitation and eventually to rain.

For the west coast some mixed precipitation is possible as we head into Thursday.

As the low is not yet developed it is still too soon to say exactly what kind of precipitation and how much will fall where. We will continue to monitor this developing situation.
