Significant snow across Southern Ontario

Posted by on Sunday, April 3, 2016

Just when we all thought Winter was done we remembered that we live in Canada.

Southern Ontario is being gripped by a blast of the good old Polar Vortex and now there is a secondary problem to contend with... snow.

There are snowfall warnings, snow squalls warnings and watches along with special weather statements across the extreme southern tiers of the province.

15 to 25 cm will be possible in the heaviest snow squalls by noon when the squalls are expected to weaken.

Meanwhile for areas under a snowfall warning snow is expected to begin this afternoon or early evening and will be heavy at times tonight before tapering off Monday morning 15 to as much as 20 cm is possible.
