Significant Rain Possible for NL on Thanksgiving

Posted by on Thursday, October 6, 2016

An area of low pressure will move to lay over Labrador on Sunday. At the same time a low-pressure system over the Maritimes will take some moisture from Hurricane Matthew and feed it into the Maritimes and Newfoundland.

The Maritimes will get the majority of the rain on Sunday night, on Monday it will be Newfoundland's turn.

With these types of events a lot can change. A slight shift in the track could mean a big difference in rainfall totals.

Some models are showing significant rainfall whereas others show minimal amounts.
