Significant Low to Push through Atlantic Canada

Posted by on Friday, March 18, 2016

A low pressure system developing off the United States east coast is expected to race up the eastern seaboard and impact the weather in the Atlantic Canada Sunday night into Monday.

The Gaspé peninsula and the North Shore could possibly receive significant snow beginning Monday evening.

There is still a lot of questions regarding the track of the storm and what kind of precipitation will fall where. however we do expect mainly snow for New Brunswick, mostly snow for Prince Edward Island with the exception of Kings County, and a rain snow mix for Nova Scotia. This storm will also be accompanied by strong winds.

Once the storm finishes off in the Maritime provinces it will race off to Newfoundland and Labrador where it is also expected to bringing rain snow mix.
