It was a severe weekend across Atlantic Canada with cancelled flights, power outages, and widespread damage.

By far, New Brunswick was the hardest hit with 92,000 homes losing power.

In Nova Scotia power was knocked out for 18,000 customers. 3,000 lost power in Prince Edward Island.

In Newfoundland, power outages remain for Little Bay Road, Buchans, Buchans Junction, Millertown, Cormack, Humber Village, Little Rapids, Georges Lake, Boom Siding, Humber Village, Main Street, Pasadena West, and South Brook.

Marine Atlantic says that the ferry crossings that were cancelled today are scheduled for tonight at 11:45 pm or as soon as sea conditions allow.

Wind warnings remain in effect for southern and eastern Newfoundland. Strong westerly winds with gusts up to 100 km/h are expected to diminish later this evening.
