Cloudy Sky

After all of the heat that the Prairies have experienced on Wednesday, Thursday will experience a strong probability to see severe storms.

There will be a 60% chance of very strong Thunderstorms across the eastern Prairies, specifically from Swift Current SK, to Thunder Bay ON.

The most intense region expected to see these storms will be from Weyburn SK, to Winnipeg MB where there will be a potential to see Super cell Thunderstorms that can produce up to golf ball sized hail, and even a tornado.

For details throughout Thursday please stay tuned to the Wx Centre’s alert page: http://wxcentre.ca/alerts.php  and our Facebook/Twitter page.

There is also a chance for non-severe thunderstorms in AB, that can still produce tons of lightning, localized downpours/flooding, and small hail.  Please visit: http://wxcentre.ca/alerts.php  for more details as the day goes on.
