Severe storms, tornadoes to eye Louisiana to Florida

Severe thunderstorms capable of damaging winds and tornadoes will be likely over portions of the gulf coast states Tuesday. A few of the tornadoes may be strong, especially Tuesday afternoon and into Tuesday night.

There is a moderate risk of severe thunderstorms from portions of southern Louisiana into southern parts of Mississippi, Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.

There is an enhanced risk of severe thunderstorms from central Louisiana eastward into central Alabama and into southwestern Georgia and the Florida Panhandle.

There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms across southern Texas eastward into Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and the Florida Big Bend.

There is a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms surrounding the slight risk area, also there is a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms for portions of coastal South Carolina.
