Severe Storms Rip Across the U.S.

After several severe storms ripped across Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky on Tuesday, portions of Mississippi and Northern Alabama also across parts of Tennessee, Kentucky, southern Ohio and West Virginia are bracing for severe weather today.

There is an enhanced risk of severe thunderstorms today for Mississippi and Northern Alabama also across parts of Tennessee, Kentucky, southern Ohio and West Virginia.

Damaging winds will be the main threat.  However, a few tornadoes will be possible, especially during the day, from the Tennessee Valley into the middle and upper Ohio Valley.

On Tuesday severe thunderstorms spanned tornadoes in central and Midwestern sections leaving a trail of damage behind.

There were over 100 reports of hail reported, several severe wind gusts, and about a dozen tornadoes.
