Environment Canada's severe thunderstorm warning was downgraded to a watch after Tuesday evening's storm dumped between 80 to 90 millimeters on downtown Calgary.

As a result there were power outages, road closures, and flash flooding across the city.

The storm also produced quarter size hail in Elbow Valley at 4:45. This storm intensified and tracked through the northern and central regions of the city between 5:15 and 6:00 PM.

A second thunderstorm tracked through the southern sections between 5:40 and 6:20 PM.
There were also reports of wind damage to buildings.

There is still a risk of thunderstorms for the remainder of tonight and tomorrow.
