Series of Earthquakes Rock Alaska, BC, and Yukon

A total of four earthquakes with a magnitude of at least six rocked parts of Alaska, British Columbia, and Yukon this morning.

The first was a magnitude 6.3 that struck 57 km north-northwest of Mosquito Lake, Alaska.

Then a magnitude 6.2 that struck 55 km north-northwest of Mosquito Lake, Alaska.

Two hours later there was a magnitude 6.2 quake in the same area and then 6.3 rocked the area and was centered 46 km northwest of Mosquito Lake, Alaska.

There was no tsunami threat.

In some cases businesses were closed as the situation is being accessed.
