The ice storm is still not over in Ontario. This morning there is some lingering freezing rain that will persist for areas near the Ottawa Valley towards Georgian Bay.

Meanwhile in Southern Ontario this morning there is significant rainfall. 20 to 30 mm is likely.

North of Superior and portions of Northeastern Ontario will continue to see ice pellets and heavy snowfall with 15 to 25 cm in some areas and some blowing snow.

On Tuesday, areas southwest of James Bay, including Moosonee and Fort Albany, could receive 10 to 15 cm of snow.

Schools in Peel and Halton regions are closed today. Toronto District and York Region District school boards have cancelled buses, but schools remain open.

Toronto Hydro said this morning that "Power restoration progress is being made. Approximately 23,000 customers remain without power, down from 44,000.  All available resources are mobilized."

There are several trees and power lines down across Southern Ontario.
