River in Washington Reaches Highest Level in 11 Years

Washington's Skagit River is at the highest level in 11 years.

Residents are preparing for possible evacuations. There could be 250 people forced from their homes.

The river has reached a major flood level.

The flooding has closed down some roads.

The river crested at 11.14 metres.

Water levels are still expected to rise.

The Skagit River is a river in southwestern British Columbia in Canada and northwestern Washington in the United States, approximately 241 metres.
