Risk of Flooding in Newfoundland

Posted by on Saturday, April 8, 2017

There will be some standing water across most of Newfoundland today after moderate to heavy rainfall across the region has caused significant snow-melt.

A threat for localized flooding also exists, especially in central Newfoundland where significant snowfall recently occurred.

The rain combined with warm southerly wind and warm air passing over cold snow will lead to significantly less snow as the weekend progresses.

Today some areas could exceed 10 degrees. Tomorrow, temperatures will get into the high single digits.
