Tuesday marked the anniversary of the EF-5 Tornado that hit the city of Joplin Missouri.

At 5:34 p.m. (CDT) with winds at 200 mph (320 km/h), the twister started its destructive path, that ultimately took 158(+3 indirect) deaths within the time span of just 15 minutes.

This was the costliest and deadliest Tornado in the World since 1950.

On top of the fatalities, 1,150 individuals were injured, and the lasting emotional and physical effects from that fateful day are everlasting.

However, there are some heroes that emerged that day, and they as well as countless others who sacrificed their life that day, will be forever missed.

May 22, 2011 will forever be engraved in our minds, and it serves to remind us all how a single catastrophe can rip apart family and friends, all while showing us the importance of keeping of our loved ones closer than ever before.
