RCMP Plane in Distress Lands in Gander

There were some tense moments after an RCMP plane sent out a distress call around 12:30 pm Wednesday afternoon.

The plane had departed Moncton and was headed to St. John’s.

After the distress call went out the plane landed at Gander International Airport without incident or injury.

The issue was an issue with the nose gear. It was stuck in the retracted position.

The pilot decided to land in Gander, there was severe weather in St. John's.
