Across most of New Brunswick the rain will taper off this morning.

In Newfoundland, along the southeastern coast, heavy rainfall is expected from Post-Tropical Cyclone Michael tonight. Some areas could see 30 to 50 mm of rain.

Michael is expected to generate some minor storm surge and large swells in the same area.

There is also a Wreckhouse wind warning in effect for Channel-Port aux Basques and vicinity. Winds are expected to gust to 80 km/h this morning will increase to gusts near 100 km/h this afternoon. Winds will diminish by this evening.
