Rain, Snow, Freezing Rain for Eastern Canada

Posted by on Tuesday, November 15, 2016

A low pressure system that has been tracking up the Eastern Seaboard earlier this week will have an impact on the weather in the Maritimes, Quebec, and Newfoundland and Labrador over the next couple of days.

In The Maritime Provinces, today heavy rain is expected for southern Nova Scotia and most of New Brunswick as the center of the low passes over western New Brunswick.

Total rainfall amounts of 30 millimeters or more is possible in these areas and along the St. Lawrence River, north to the Gaspé region.

The low pressure system will track over Newfoundland and Labrador as we head through Thursday and Friday.

In Labrador some snow is expected and with the possibility of some freezing rain.

Newfoundland will see some rain rainfall amounts anywhere from 10 to 20 millimeters.

A secondary low pressure system will advance up over the Atlantic as we head through the weekend and will bring some heavy rain to Newfoundland and the Maritimes on Monday.
