A powerful area of low pressure will continue to impact Newfoundland and Labrador Thursday.

Rain and fog is in the forecast for most of the island, up the Great Northern Peninsula precipitation will remain in the form of snow.

On Thursday night as temperatures cool there is the risk of rain showers or flurries for most areas, once again up the Great Northern Peninsula snow is expected.

Strong wind will cause blowing snow.

Rain and warmer temperatures will cause more snow to melt. This may result in some localized flooding and pooling on the road.

In Labrador on Thursday snow will begin in the afternoon and continue into the night with 20 centimeters.
