There are 42 active fires in northeastern Ontario, of those 42, 19 remain out of control.

After several days of hot, windy, and dry weather, some rain is on the way.

More personnel and equipment will be added to fight the fires this week.

There were two new fires sparked on Sunday, Bancroft 19 and Sudbury 101.
