Radiation from the damaged Japanese damaged Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant has reached the U.S.

Seaborne radiation has been detected on the west coast of the United States.

Cesium-134 is the detected substance, which could have only come from Fukushima.

Researchers don’t believe it will pose a threat to humans.

Since the 2011 disaster, more than 800,000 tons of radioactive water have been pumped out, treated and stored in tanks that now occupy virtually every corner of the Fukushima plant.
