Prolonged Snowfall in Manitoba and Saskatchewan

Posted by on Monday, November 28, 2016

Most models are in agreement with the slow moving low-pressure system over North Dakota that is drifting into Minnesota.

The low  is bring an area of precipitation to southern Manitoba into southeastern Saskatchewan.

The heaviest snow will fall over southwestern Manitoba and extreme southern Saskatchewan.

Precipitation over southeastern Manitoba will likely be in the form of rain.

The low will weaken over the next few days, while slowly moving eastward.

A prolonged snowfall event with up to 20 or 30 cm is likely.
