Posted by on Thursday, October 27, 2016

The low bringing the first snow of the season will have an impact on Atlantic Canada just in time for the weekend.

The low in question will gather strength as it moves off the coast of Maine.

Heavy rain is on the menu for the Maritimes on Friday night and some light to moderate rain to Newfoundland on Saturday night and Sunday.

Parts of coastal may see 40 to 50 mm of rain. 10 to 20 mm of rain is possible for western, southern and the Avalon in Newfoundland.

This low will bring some gusty winds to the Maritimes and southern parts of Newfoundland where gusts up to 100 km/h is possible.
