Potential Storm for Southern Ontario

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Tuesday, January 9, 2018

A large area of low pressure will push across Southern Ontario beginning on Friday and through the weekend.

Currently it appears as though most areas of Southern Ontario will receive significant amounts of rain.

The rain will switch to freezing rain and ice pellets for some areas before a transition to snow on Saturday.

Snow will linger throughout the day on Saturday and through Sunday as well.

Although there is some discrepancy between weather models, there is the possibility that some portions of Southern Ontario could receive significant amounts of snowfall and some very strong winds.

We are continuing to monitor this system.
