An area of low pressure will push across Newfoundland beginning on Monday night and will continue through Tuesday and linger on Wednesday.

Precipitation will begin across the southwest on Monday evening and spread across the remainder of the Island by Monday night.

It appears as though precipitation will remain as snow across the Island. However, just south of Newfoundland there will be some mixed precipitation. So a slight shift in the track could change snow to some mixed precipitation across the south coast.

Right now it looks like central Newfoundland will get the most snow with amounts of 20+ cm possible. The west coast and Avalon may see 15 to 20 cm.
