Police Rescue Dogs From Hot Car

Mounties were forced to rescue two dogs that were left in a hot car at the Walmart in Stephenville on Wednesday.

Temperatures in the area got up to 17 degrees under mostly cloudy skies.

The animals were seized and taken to the SPCA​.

Police ticketed a 49-year-old woman from St. Andrews under the Animal Health and Protection Act.

Leaving animals in cars (and children) can be deadly.
