Polar Vortex set to freeze Ontario

Not so fast on seeing Spring weather there Southern Ontario. Sure you've seen some thunderstorms but our old friend the Polar Vortex is about to drag down our temperatures.

As we march off to April, get it march, temperatures will mirror what we would see in a typical February. In fact some low temperature records could fall.

In fact some areas of Southern Ontario may not even get to the freezing mark but the second half of the weekend. Temperatures will remain cold until around late next week.

The normal maximum temperature for the City of Toronto is +8°C and the normal minimum low is -1°C.

The term "Polar Vortex" refers a large pocket of very cold air, typically the coldest air in the Northern Hemisphere, which resides over the polar region during the winter season.
