Plane Crash Kills 71

There is believed to be no survivors in a plane crash near Moscow on Sunday.

The jet had disappeared from radar shortly after takeoff and crashed in a field 40 kilometres from the airport.

There were 71 people on board.

Russia's transportation minister Maxim Sololov said that "judging by everything, no one has survived."

Saratov Airlines owned the plane, records indicated that the Antonov An-148 regional jet was in service since 2010. It was taken out of service from 2015-2017 due to a shortage of parts.

The cause of the crash is under investigation and all possibilities are being considered.
