Park Cutting April the Giraffe’s Live Stream After Injury

The live streaming of April the Giraffe will soon be no more.

Animal Adventure Park announced on Facebook that it plans to pull the live stream sometime this week.

This comes after the mother giraffe sustained a leg injury on Monday.

The zoo said this type of injury is normal for a long-legged animal and is the equivalent to a human rolling their ankle, uncomfortable but temporary.

However, that hasn’t stopped a barrage of emails from concerned people.

The park said, “we appreciate concern but the bogging down of email servers and other platforms is the exact reason the giraffe cam will need to be pulled. While we appreciate the concern, it is interfering with normal park operations and preparation for opening; at a period when our resource of time is limited and cannot be hindered.”

The giraffe has become popular after the world watched for weeks in anticipation of the arrival of her baby boy.
