Ottawa Becomes Coldest Capital City in the World

Congratulations Ottawa, on Saturday morning you were the coldest capital city in the world.

The temperature bottomed out at -24.2 with a wind chill of -36 at 8:00 Saturday morning.

The runner up was Mongolia's capital, Ulan Bator, with a temperature of -23.

On average Ulan Bator is the coldest capital city in the world.

At the same time Ottawa, and the surrounding area, is contending with a snowstorm.
