Oppressive Heat Continues

The oppressive heat continues across Eastern Canada.

On Monday heat warnings will continue over Southern Ontario and portions of Northeastern Ontario.

Heat warnings are expected to continue over Southern Ontario and portions of Northeastern Ontario on Tuesday. Temperatures will remain at or close to heat warning criteria through much of next week.

In Quebec on Monday, highs in the low thirties and humidex values near 40 will be present. The warm weather will continue through Tuesday at least.

A very warm and humid airmass has settled over the Maritimes and will persist through the middle of the week. 30 to 35 degree Celsius is expected over most inland areas of New Brunswick with humidex values ranging from 35 to 41.

On Prince Edward Island, humidex values reaching 35 are expected.

Nova Scotia will see daytime highs near 30 degrees with humidex values from 35 to 39.
